Our experience working with attorneys Ben Zimmermann and David McCormack was excellent and we had the best outcome we could hope for. Hiring Ben and the team at Sugarman was one of the best decisions we have have ever made. We met with them a few months after our son had sustained a devastating injury during his birth. Ben and David are true professionals who care about their clients. They left no stone unturned when looking in to the events surrounding our son's injury. They worked tirelessly on our behalf, and never took no for an answer from the hospital where he was injured. They took the time to learn everything about our case, and became experts in the medical practices and standards applicable to our case. The entire team at Sugarman, including Robert Casby, Neil Sugarman, and Marianne LeBlanc are wonderful people. The whole team pitched in on our case and worked behind the scenes for years. After years of hard work and perseverance, our case went to trial in Boston. Ben and David clearly and concisely explained complex medical information to the jury in a way everyone could understand. They did an excellent job during our trial and advised and supported us all along the way. Ben spoke the hard truth to the jurors about how our son's life and our lives have been impacted by his injuries. In the end, we had a victory, and Ben and David were able to secure large settlements from the hospital and a staffing agency that was also involved. This is all because Ben and David were highly prepared, knowledgeable, and explained things much better than the attorney defending the hospital did. We will never forget what Ben and David and the entire team at Sugarman did for us. They were there for us at our worst time and helped us to hold the hospital accountable and her funds to use to take care of our son's lifelong medical needs.
My husband and I had an absolutely amazing experience at Sugarman. We were in a bad spot physically, emotionally and spiritually because of what we'd been through with our family. Ben Zimmerman knocked it out of the park. He is an extraordinary professional, smart and strategic - but most of all he was an advocate and a representative that legitimately cared about the outcome. We were very comfortable with him. We trusted him so much, it was as if we'd known Ben all our lives. This made going through a tough situation much more tolerable. He gently arrayed our options and was responsive to our calls, emails and inexperience with a terrible situation. He always put our health and well being first. He never talked down to us and he was a great listener. When we were in court, Ben had the respect of the attorney on the other side of our case. That, to me, spoke volumes. He is obviously respected in a difficult field. We were very pleased with the work, the Sugarman team (including Sarah Yun) and the outcome. If you have stumbled across this review while you are in personal crisis - call Ben. He has class, integrity, experience and the support of a wonderful firm.
After an accident in which I sustained serious injuries, a family friend referred my wife and I to the law firm of Sugarman and Sugarman. From the initial phone call and initial meeting with Neil Sugarman and the lead attorney, Ben Zimmerman, my wife and I were immediately at ease. Their instructions to us were focused on my health and rehabilitation, not the litigations. Throughout my rehabilitation, Neil, Ben and their professional staff offered support and timely updates on our case. Ben Zimmerman was always available to answer any and all of our questions and concerns along with supporting us during depositions. Ben and his staff prepared a solid case for us by gathering hospital reports, doctor's letters, and data from the scene of the accident. This comprehensive approach to the accident, my injuries, and their personal attention to my wife and I, made us feel as if we were the only case that mattered to them. When we entered into the negotiation stage of our case, we felt completely confident in Neil Sugarman and Ben Zimmerman's guidance. Without reservation we would recommend the law firm of Sugarman and Sugarman.
After my son was born, an attorney referred me to Sugarman and Sugarman and told me that that the firm had an impeccable reputation and was the best. My attorney was Bob Casby and he definitely lived up to the reputation of being "the best." He walked me through every step, was always there to answer questions and made a painful situation much more tolerable. When my husband died, I became a single parent raising a special needs child and when I needed some "hand holding" Bob was there. When preparing me for depositions and for the trial, Bob Casby spent countless hours with me making sure that I knew what to expect. He was always available either in person or by phone. No words can describe what a fantastic person and lawyer Bob is. His talent in the courtroom made it possible for my son to receive the help that he needs. As questions arise Bob is always willing and ready to help even though many years have gone by. His dedication and caring shows not only when he is working on a case but also many years later when he is interested in how his client is doing. I would highly recommend Bob Casby and his firm, Sugarman and Sugarman.
Remarkable service, very compassionate and caring. Extremely thorough from start to finish. Very pleased with the level of service. My attorney, Marianne Leblanc was simply outstanding. I would urge folks seeking representation to use Sugarman, you will not be disappointed.
My husband and I were injured in a bad taxicab accident in 2005 where our faces smashed into the plexiglass when we t-boned an SUV. Both of us had broken noses--his was torn wide open and broken in six places. I had my lip split all the way up to my nose. It was really awful all around and we lost a lot of work for our treatments (my husband had to have reconstructive surgery) and we were both in a lot of pain. To top it off, MA has such terrible auto insurance laws that all drivers and passengers in the accident had the lowest insurance coverage because it's the most affordable. Which meant that regardless of the types of injuries suffered, the most that the entire accident could be covered for was $40k (think about that...that has to be split amongst all parties--thank god neither of us ended up with worse injuries that required any sort of long hospital stay). Sugarman & Sugarman were excellent at every step of the process. They explained all of our rights, the insurance procedures, the issues with medical liens, etc. They were patient and came across as caring and understanding. And in the end, because it was such a small amount we would be receiving despite our pain and suffering, they even reduced their fee. WOW. How many law firms do you know that care about their clients on that level? We were floored. It was a really nice gesture that they didn't have to do. It meant a great deal to both of us, coming at a time when we really needed that extra cash. So definitely consider this firm if you are looking for excellent lawyers. There are two other morals to this little story. 1. BUCKLE UP WHEN IN A TAXICAB. 2. Don't settle for the lowest amount of coverage on your auto insurance. Fork up the extra cash if you can...it's worth if it if you cause an accident and don't want to be sued (because the victim's injuries are more than you are covered for) or are severely injured in an auto accident yourself. This is really really really not an area in which you should take the cheapest option. Trust me.
